1994 – Julie Hodge Dollins
Julie Hodge Dollins is a 1994 graduate of PHS. She participated in many sports growing up in Purcell. She lettered in 3 sports while in high school. These include: basketball 3 years, softball 4 years, and track 4 years. Julie also strived to be better academically. She was a member of the National Honor Society, student council and was top 10 percent in her class. She was also named senior football candidate in 1994. State Champion 2A 100m dash- 1993 State Champion 2A 200m dash -1993
She still holds the 100m PHS record with . 12.14, thirty years later. Julie attended the University of Central Oklahoma on a track scholarship
She moved to McAlester and finished her bachelors degree in education at East Central University in 1999.
Her greatest accomplishments are her two children, Gage Dollins and Peyton Dollins.
Julie’s parents, Paul and Melanie Hodge and brother Justin encouraged her and made an impact on her life while growing up in Purcell
She wants to give a special recognition to the late Peggy Butler, who recognized her talent early on in elementary school, and Randy Belicek who was her high school track coach.
Coach Savage and Coach Rimer also contributed to Julie’s success as well.
