Is still remembered by long time Purcell Football observers for the effort he showed in breaking two tackles at the 1 yard line on a 2-point conversion run late in the game that ended up defeating Velma-Alma (16-15) in the 1st Round of the 1970 Class A Playoffs at Conger Field
