Bob is one of the most decorated and respected High School Track Coaches and Junior High Football Coaches in the history of Oklahoma sports
Head Track Coach at Purcell High School ( 1964 - 1992 )
Coached four State Track Championship teams at Purcell ( 1975 / 1976 / 1980 / 1985 ) and one Track State Runner-Up team ( 1978 )
Head Purcell Junior High Football Coach ( 1964 - 1983 )
Assistant High School Football Coach 1972 Purcell State Championship Team
Assistant High School Basketball Coach 1974 Purcell State Championship Team
A member of the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame - 1993

The Bob Haley Track & Field Complex in Purcell was named in his honor in 1985
Is still recognized, along with Jesse " Hubba" Green and and Eddie Peacock, as one of the three men that forever changed the fortunes of the PHS Boys' Track Program
Beloved by his former students for being a caring and dedicated history teacher in the classroom
